PSR100-MY Monthly Index Report — June 2026

Monthly Index Report

June 2026 · Published 1 Jul 2026
Report No. report-2026-06 · Methodology v2.0 · Index PSR100-MY
Index level 1,294.4 · Monthly return -0.7% · YTD return +18.7%
Abstract

PSR100-MY returned -0.7% in June (+18.7% YTD). One addition, one watchlist placement, no removals. Event POS capture drove Tier-1 coverage.

1. Executive Summary

PSR100-MY closed June at 1,294.4 (-0.7% on the month, +18.7% year-to-date). Local liquidity continued to concentrate in modern One Piece and Riftbound singles, while vintage constituents traded thin. The committee added one constituent, kept the balance of the index unchanged, and placed one asset on the watchlist. Event transaction capture through the Metaru Event Data Network remains the primary Tier-1 source for ringgit pricing.

2. Index Performance

Monthly return: -0.7%. Year-to-date: +18.7%. Top contributor: Umbreon VMAX (Alt Art) (Raw NM), +17.6% over the trailing 30 days at a 10.1% weight. Top detractor: Jinx, Loose Cannon (Raw NM), -19.4%. Realized volatility stayed within the range observed since index base date, with no circuit-style anomalies detected.

3. Market Commentary

Modern chase cards continue to clear at a visible premium to US-converted prices in Malaysia, led by tournament-adjacent demand. Riftbound's local scene expanded again this month; its flagship single sustained the strongest turnover growth in the universe. Graded vintage remains structurally thin locally — consistent with our decision to cap stale constituents at 1% and rely on committee review for treatment of large single prints.

4. Constituents and Weights

The index held 12 constituents at month end. Largest weights: Umbreon VMAX (Alt Art) (Raw NM) 10.1%; Umbreon VMAX (Alt Art) (PSA 10) 10.1%; Charizard ex (SIR) (Raw NM) 10.1%; Monkey D. Luffy (Leader) (Raw NM) 10.1%; Shanks (Manga Rare) (Raw NM) 10.1%. Caps applied: 5% single constituent, 12.5% single subject, 20% single set, 45% single game, 1% stale constituents.

5. Additions, Removals, and Keeps

Added: Jinx, Loose Cannon (Raw NM) — met eligibility after three consecutive months above liquidity thresholds. Removed: none. Watchlist: RX-78-2 Gundam (Raw NM) — source diversity below threshold. All other constituents were kept. No fast-removal events occurred during the month.

6. Data Quality Review

10 of 12 constituents priced FRESH; 2 STALE (weight-capped). Flagged sales pending review at month end: 6. Rejected during the month: duplicate cross-source auction result. Quarantined: one event sale pending identity verification. Median constituent data-confidence score: 89 / 100.

7. Event Data Insights

The Kuala Lumpur card show produced RM13,443.05 in captured POS volume across 7 transactions. Negotiated discounts averaged 4.2% off asking across completed checkouts; one transaction was refunded on a condition dispute. Vendor concentration remained within policy: no single vendor exceeded the configured contribution cap for any constituent.

8. Liquidity Review

Improving: One Piece leaders and Riftbound epics (rising event turnover, tighter spreads). Deteriorating: Lorcana singles (softer sell-through, wider dealer spreads). Vintage Pokémon and Alpha-era Magic remain event-driven and stay under stale-price monitoring between auctions.

9. Risk Review

Manipulation-risk screens triggered on 11 sales this cycle; none affected official closes after review haircuts. Key structural risks: thin vintage supply concentrating price power in single venues, and cross-listing duplicates from public feeds. Mitigations in force: dedupe keys across venues, per-vendor contribution caps, and committee escalation for capped constituents.

10. Methodology Notes

Methodology v2.0 operated without exceptions this month. No changes to eligibility thresholds, weighting caps, or pricing half-life. One committee override recorded: keep-with-cap treatment for the Alpha Black Lotus constituent (documented in the meeting record).
